As for Riviera Maya’s gastronomy, much of the area’s cuisine is seafood based, and is usually enriched with spices, sweet chili, seeds, oregano, achiote, red onion, lime and bitter orange.

Gastronomical wonders of the Riviera Maya
Cochinita Pibil
One of the most loved dishes of the Riviera Maya. It is a pork meat seasoned with achiote, anciently used in Prehispanic rituals.
Ceviche
Mexican Ceviche consists of marinated fish or seafood, complemented with tomato, chilis, red onion, cilantro and oregano.
Lime Soup
Seasoned with clove, Yucatecan oregano and cumin, this soup is aromaticed with lime slices.
Huevos Motuleños

Papadzules
A traditional recipe of tacos from Yucatán, it is known for its pumpkin seeds sauce.
